I have finally completed my first Overland Adventure. I took the Colorado ZR2 out to the Sheep Bridge in AZ. It was just a day trip of almost 40 miles one way, lots of rough forest road. Several water crossings and plenty of local foliage reaching out to 'stripe the truck.
I had a great time and so did my 6 year old and best friend, at the bridge a nice cold beer was shared and some time was spent splashing in the river before heading back.
I learned some things along the way, my equipment needs to be secured better. Its a good thing I followed the recommendations of some on here for a nice Lifetime cooler, it proved its worth as it not only kept everything cold, but it had a rough trip in the bed of the truck! That sucker slipped its straps several times.
I have some more stuff on order just waiting for it to arrive, better straps, a bed rack from CBI and halfway there (in terms of saving money) to a roof rack.
