10 Days in Oct to Make a trip

I have 10 days in Oct. to take a trip. Right now I am thinking Mojave Road or Death Valley, or Ouery Co. open to pros cons or other suggestions. will be departing from SL,UT

I wouldn't do DV or Mojave road solo.. I'd check for other trips going to that area around the same time frame, and make an alternate plan because if the weather decides to get crazy, you'll be stuck scrambling for somewhere to spend your time. A few hours of bad weather in either can change the entire environment and turn an easy dirt road impassable. I have some recorded routes and other knowledge of DV if you decide to head that way that may help.
