I was happy when I moved to a state that trailer under 3,000 pounds do not need to be registered.
I know trailer registration isn't much, but the less I have to give the state the happier I am!

I went with the M101A2 since I picked it up for less than $500 from a guy who was going to scrap it. Nothing wrong with it when I picked it up other than flat tires.
I use it to haul stuff, so I'm not going to convert it yet. Right now a ground tent works great and there is plenty of room in...
Genoa City, WI.
A military HMMWV. No upgrades, since it does not need any. :) I've begun adding a shelf system in the back, but otherwise it's stock. The military uses 200 amp 24/12 volt alternators, so will have plenty of power.

I was there when I bought it. Thought it was funny, so I left it.
I'd love to meet the guys that drove the truck and ask the story behind all the markings. I had the same question about the road cones!

Government auction through IronPlanet. It was an Oklahoma National Guard truck and sold through Red River Depot in Texas. I picked it up last year when the selection was much better. There was nothing wrong with the truck, even the fluids were new when I changed them.
Had it shipped to WI and...
Added a DC/AC converter to go from my 24V system to 12V. It's 1800 watts of power. It plugs directly into the military slave cable port, auto shuts off if the batteries are getting low, and puts out good, clean power.
Hello everyone! New member, I've never gone overlanding, and am looking to learn a lot.
I do enjoy camping and have driven all over the United States, so it shouldn't be much of a challenge.
My rig is a 1994 HMMWV. A bit different than the normal Toyota or Jeep, but just a capable. I'm not...
Good afternoon all!
I recently became interested in overlanding and am using a vehicle that isn't all that common. Since I collect military vehicles, I'm going to make some modifications to one of my Humvees and turn it into a basic overlanding rig. Nothing crazy- it's already very capable and...
