I have an 04, first gen of the unibody with the vq35 and manual TC. It does very well off road in the mud and snow, and climbing. Definitely not a rock crawler tho. I really wish they had stayed body on frame.
Hi George, Watched some of your vids yesterday. Got me a little excited to start getting my truck ready to go. If you know any local f150 guys, let me know. I could use some advice. Great vids!
Nice write up! Thank you for sharing your trip, looks like it was a blast. Also good to know the 92-95 f-150 will handle 33's. I had them on my 95 bronco, but it had air shocks in the back. I hope to be able to work on my truck soon and get out to do some exploring.
FRS is limited to less than 1 watt. I think 1/2 watt. Using the baofeng to transmit on frs frequencies is inviting a small fine from the FCC. Of course, you might want to look into what a "small fcc fine" is :)
