Yup I've had mine probably 20yrs. Looks great inside but the fly not so great. Funny I worked on boats after hurricane Hugo and lived In New Mexico where camping was where you placed your tent. A little more challenging in socal, they got laws against that! Lol.

Yeah I'm sure many don't see off-road. I'm hoping when they all go back to Prius's or other economical cars I can get a good deal on a used overland rig! Lol

I mean, now that more people are opting for Offroad capable vehicles and you have a growing community like OB, what will become of those spots people normally couldn't reach in a 2wd now that they all have 4x4?

What happens if OB gets to big? What happens to those spots you like to go to because others can't get there with a normal vehicle? Food for thought.

Had a Tacoma. Did bilstein 5100 at 2.5". Loved the ride. My friend had 3" Spacer lift with heavy springs up front and had no problems. I suggest going to 285 tire. I had 265/75-16 and always regretted not going bigger. You will have to trim plastic at 285 though.

Heading out to Zion, Bryce Canyon and arches next week. Anyone gonna be out that way? Any trails to hit up? Good off road campsites away from the crowded campgrounds? Any other suggestions? Happy trails!

This is why I try to do all my own work! After many years searching I did find a good mechanic. I still only go for things way over my abilities. Hope you get it all worked out.

Funny I read that same article about dual battery setup and found it useful as well. I have a isolator and everything wired just waiting for a battery tray I found and if course have to buy 2nd battery. Will post pics when done

I've had my rei 1-2 man tent for years and it's still great. I think if you have a good sleeping bag (0 degree +-) it don't matter much. My friends wake up cold while I'm nice and cozy!

Not sure what the difference is between stock and the bilsteins. The rear bilsteins are just a better shock than stock but provides no lift. Could have longer shaft. I still don't think you'd have any problem with an add a leaf.
