I saw some routes from the pictures above. I definitely didn't even try some of that haha.
When I was there it was decently muddy.

I might check that out tomorrow. Thanks for the recommendation today. Was able to try out the MTS system on the Tacoma and get some stock flecking.

No worries. I still appreciate the information. I'll be here till the end of the month but this is my only free weekend. The rest of the time I'll be at work.

Awesome. Thank you for the info. Is there a wide variety of trails there? I was looking at the website and so far the most I've found is guys doing hill climbs on dirt bikes.

Anyone around this weekend to do some easy trails or know of anywhere that's easy for a day trip? I have a stock 17' TRD OR. I'm at Fairchild for a bit and have nothing to do lol

I've been there before. I lost my front bumper on my 2nd gen on that trail lol.
If that's in the books for May count me in!

Usually you only rub under full lock in reverse... With that being said, I know that is true for guys with 33"s. They typically also require a cab mount chop.
I call it the terrorist truck. These trucks can run on oil and water I'm pretty sure. I do love my new 3rd gen though.

Cool I'll have to check them out. Thank you. I'm from Colorado so I'm still getting used to how it is in California. Can you just camp anywhere along the road or do you need designated spots?

I've been camping at Boca and on the hill to the East of it but that's it. Back in that region are there a lot of places to camp? Also, when does the snow usually disappear so you can get back there?
Thanks for the help

If I knew what I was doing sure! Lol
The only trail I've really done is gold lake but due to snow I'm not sure if it would be open. My truck is still stock so I'm just along for the adventure.

Well we are getting ready for the trip! So far we have the bed about 80% done. Thanks again to everyone for all of the advice.

China Hat Road.... Got it.
Man this has been super helpful thanks everyone! Since it is National Forest do I need camping/fire permits? Growing up in Colorado it was never an issue but I am not sure how Oregon is. Thanks again for all of the info.
Hey everyone. The GF and and I are heading up to Deschutes National Forest region by Bend at the beginning of April. I have a bed built in the back of my Tacoma for a sleeping platform so I don't need a tent area, just an area to park the truck and sleep/make food with a Jetboil. Any suggestions?
You are much more prepared than I am. If I need a shower I just use the Helio Shower by Nemo. Your setup is definitely more robust than mine though. Can't wait to hear how it turns out!
