    Locker for a 2000 Durango?

I'm pretty sure my transmission is not from a Mercedes, since I know the previous owner, and he always used generic Walmart ATF +4, he was pretty good at keeping the filters and fluid changed about once every 2 years. (motor oil and ATF was about the only maintenance that was EVER done on the...

    Locker for a 2000 Durango?

Yup, I heard about some doing the solid axle swap! Most likely, if I cannot get a front locker, I will leave it as-is. I can still get a selectable locker for the rear, which does help at least.

    Locker for a 2000 Durango?

Reply from my email to OX: Well then... @MrWilsonWJ I think it could be, that nobody makes a locker for the Durango, since very few of them were even 2WD selectable...

    Locker for a 2000 Durango?

It's selectable, I had no idea that other Durango's were like that. Why Dodge would take away the 2WD mode!?

    Locker for a 2000 Durango?

I found something: https://www.ebay.com/itm/304174171464 Dana 35? I always thought those were solid axle only! I am not sure if this is a listing error... but looking at photos... the front pumpkin really does look like the Dana 35... Also, I just sent an email to ox-usa asking if they have...

Nice rig, I always admired those who keep a simple setup. I can relate to your post, I'm not that old yet, but I have a bad back, and when I fall down... I don't get back up very quickly (but I do get back up still lol).

My rig is currently ugly, and groans like an old pirate ship! Would I scare people if I showed up there next time? heheheh.

How has that AEM air filter worked out? Is it keeping your throttle body clean even during dusty roads? :grinning:

    Locker for a 2000 Durango?

Thanks for the info, this is my first 4WD, so I wasn't sure exactly how they normally respond.

    2000 Druango, a dirty weapon.

I got the Durango a few years ago for $400, it was in really bad shape, basically junk-yard worthy. I saw potential in it, as I wanted a cheap 4WD that I wouldn't be afraid to scratch, and something that is cheap to repair if I did run into any issues. Most of my work so far has been in...

    Locker for a 2000 Durango?

I will probably just rebuild the stock front diff. Not enough Info to install the correct locker yet.

    Getting started

I have to say this is the best advice. Most of my adventures until I hit 30 were 2 to 3 day hikes through the mountains, and it taught me to just keep it simple. When you start hauling around a lot of equipment, it pretty much destroys your experience, as you tend to focus too much on the...

    Locker for a 2000 Durango?

I am looking to install a front locker in my 2000 Durango, or at least a bit more information other than the info in my glovebox. So far all I know is, the front differential is cross compatible with the same year Dakota, and it is a 3.55 ratio "limited-slip." The Durango seems to be a more...

    Just introducing myself!

Hey everyone, I have been mostly a hiker in the past (almost) two decades, taking on any trail at any opportunity I could since graduating high school, or any time off during college. I mostly hiked lesser known trails which were partly over-grown, but I have been to the top of Half Dome, San...
