Awaiting my new Garmin Inreach Mini2.
The kids all chipped in and got it for us for Christmas.
I call it the Hipster Instagram Van Life version of the LifeAlert.
Decades of backcountry travel, a lot solo wore on my family. From backpacking, ice climbing, wilderness paddling and road trips out...
Try to keep it simple. The less systems, the better. Especially way up here where one worries about freezing. We use our teardrop all year long and are ready to take a 3 week trip in it next month.
I have the Rino Rack Batwing awning. It's nice. You'll get the poles out, but never get it back...
I have one of those Coleman 200cc mini bikes to help explore or scout ahead when I'm out.
Yesterday, I made a ramp and a bracket to secure the front wheel in the bed.
The only issue is that I have to swivel down the handle bar to fit under the cap of my Tacoma.
It misses by 3/4"
I made a bracket to chock the front wheel of my Coleman 200cc mini bike I plan to run up a ramp(also made today) and secured down under the cap of my Tacoma.
This will come with me sometimes when pulling.my off road teardrop to scout out ahead when boondocking.
I have a 200cc Coleman mini bike that can go in the back of the truck when pulling my off road teardrop. I can use it to scout ahead or ride it around exploring.
When it comes to the Tacoma, I can find a whole lot more to complain about than the driving position.
But.....that's one thing I don't have a problem with at 6 feet tall and 186lbs. I find the seating ok and have even taken it on long trips a few times. I like the cool retro small truck feel of...
A bar of soap, left wet and somewhat softer on the outer layer until completely dry can pick up anything and everything around it, scrubbed into it, dropped onto or landed upon resembling an equally unappetizing Christmas fruitcake.
The wife and I like going to a big RV show every year. Even though we don't want one and are not in the ,market for one. It's just a day out. We like looking at what new tech and innovative layouts they incorporate into these rolling cardboard shacks.
Every year, new models, some neat features...
Kind of. I own a Pest Company and we have have a Bed Bug Scent Detection K9. She lives trains and works with me pretty much exclusively, although my son can work with her in a pinch.
As much as I'd love to, mine is an actual working dog with a job and has to be trained most every single day to stay sharp.
I recently took her on a 2 day trip out in the N.F. and took along all her training stuff. It's a lot of work and worry because she's a huge investment in my business.
I have that heater for my OR Teardrop.
I only need to run it on a shelf in the teardrop for 10 minutes at night and a few minutes in the morning in the high teens. It doesn't take much to heat up our tiny camper and body heat does the rest through the night, even with venting.
Great little...
I have a stock Tacoma OR model.
It has never met a gas station it didn't like. And that's unladen on flat ground with a tailwind.
But, I knew that going into it.
It's really not far off the mark from my other 4 trucks, all full sized.
I looked at it, thought about doing some stuff I'd been planning on it, and then shoveled and blew the snow out of the driveway instead. Then I got busy doing paperwork for my business.
I have a dog kennel in the back seat of my Tacoma for my scent detection dog I need to take out. That should...
It was meant as a tongue in cheek statement. But, since we went there.....And the internet is some serious business.....
It's not an ignorant statement. I can be helpful, informative, helpful, a good steward of the land, etc.
I don't need a calling card to do so. And other than pay a membership...
