Have you considered bolt on sliders? Or do you need weld on? I couldn’t imagine bolt on sliders doing anything to the warranty. I went with a bolt on slider from Cali-raised and they seem super sturdy. I have not put them to the test but I’m sure they will hold up when called upon.
I try and ride every day so I couldn’t even imagine going up to the mountains without my bikes. At $500 you’re going to be hard pressed to find a mountain bike worth riding unless you can find a used hard tail. Gravel bikes are a good option and could be in your price range.
