    I have 2 Icom ID-5100 . Love them both. I mainly went with the Icom becuse of the D-star capability. It has been a rock solid radio.

    I was wondering the sme thing. I don't mind putting it on the roof rack, but to those who have, how waterproof is it when driving thru rain? Am i going to be unpacking a soaked tent?

    I have the same issue with the search feature. Some of the places my friends give me only have a Lat/Long. I was hoping that this map feature would be like others. When is the search going to work?

    I have been a Ham operator for a few years, and have my General license, Can catch me on my local repeater, 20m 40m, and D-star usually on 30C, Use my Allstar node when traveling. Operator license is KN3DDY
