FS - CVT Mt. Hood - Single Channel, Black, Small

I almost got one of those but also wanted something slim. I don’t mind helping! I’ll need help getting it off my car as well :). DM me when you decide you want to pick it up and we’ll work out the details. Thanks!

FS - CVT Mt. Hood - Single Channel, Black, Small

I’ve had it for a couple years. Model name is Mt. Hood by CVT. The awning is not part of the sale, but you can attach one to it with the brackets I’m including. It weights around 165. Thanks

What is your go too overlanding photography kit/setup? What is in your Camera bag?

Luckily I have a pro lab a few miles away here in LA that develops same day. I actually got in to large format, bought the Intrepid camera because of the small size and light weight. Still have the RB67 kit but it does weight a ton. I have a 645 Pro kit too, although the negatives are small its...

    Skottle First Cook - Issue

I think it’s just what’s available. I ordered my before the shutdown and still got the cold rolled steel version. Also noticed it doesn’t come very well seasoned. Either they use to much oil, or don’t have it in an oven long enough so the oil get blotchy and sticky. I had ordered a carbon steel...

    Skottle First Cook - Issue

I agree. I got it as a gift, but don’t like to use it. I had reached out to them and told them all the trouble I’ve been having, apparently they use cold rolled and hot rolled steel. If you get a cold rolled version (which is what I got) the seasoning comes right off. He offered to exchange it...

    Skottle First Cook - Issue

It’s only 10,000, but because it thin steel and literally less then an inch away from the steel, it gets to hot on anything but low.

    Skottle First Cook - Issue

I cant count the number of times I seasoned it in an oven with it looking great after just to come right off! High heat, high smoke point oil, all the correct steps. Like you said, it is what it is. I have used it on 2 camping trips since I got it, only because I was in a group and had to cook a...

    Skottle First Cook - Issue

Interesting I had the same issue. I got mine last December. The burner that ships with the skottle gets way to hot very fast so you have to use it at a very low setting. The first time I used it the same thing happened to me. All the seasoning in the center came right off. Would have been nice...

What is your go too overlanding photography kit/setup? What is in your Camera bag?

@Ubiety a medium format sensor in an FX100 camera size body would be gold. I use to have a Canon 80D, and took some great photos with it with the kit lens. Was about to get an EOS 5DSR when the EOS R was released. I figured a full fame mirrorless from the company I'm familiar with was the way...

What is your go too overlanding photography kit/setup? What is in your Camera bag?

I was never a fan of the EF 24-105, but the RF 24-105 is pretty sharp. If Canon makes an RF 24-70 f/4L, I'll replace it. The RF 24-70 f/2.8 is huge, and since I usually only shoot landscapes at f/9-f/11 I can't justify the cost for the extra stop of light. If I won the lotto, I would get the...

What is your go too overlanding photography kit/setup? What is in your Camera bag?

@DharmaBum I was on the fence between the RB and the Pentax67, but the large viewfinder and removable film backs sold me. I usually have two bags, a Billingham 445 with my Canon kit and a backlight 36l with my RB kit. Depending on how far I have to walk from the car and what I feel like shooting...

What is your go too overlanding photography kit/setup? What is in your Camera bag?

    I got into overlanding because of photography. Digital: - Canon EOS R - RF 15-35 f/2.8 - RF 24-105 f/4 - RF 70-200 f/4 - GoPro Hero 7 black. Film: - Mamiya RB67 Pro s - Sekor C 50mm - Sekor C 127mm - Sekor C 180mm - 2x Tele converter I have both a waist level view finder and a AE prism...

    Protection or Height

Skids first would be the way to go. Would rather replace a flat then an engine. KO2s are great tires, but they are heavy. I have a full set on my outback. They look great and I havent had any issues but I plan to switch to a different tire when they reach end of life to give something else a try.

Newbie w/ Subie Outback. RTT on Thule Evo Wingbars w/ Hideaway Awning. Thoughts?

I almost went the bar route with my 2016 outback but didn't want the gap between the rack or basket and the roof. I had a Yakima basket for a while but eventually ditched it for a Prinsu rack. I dont use a RTT (Gazelle user) but it would have no problem with a RTT.

    Overland Subaru Tool Kits

No problem. With the willco solo, if you have a table mounted to it, you can only fit 1 gallon cans. On mine I currently have the table off center and a 1 gallon rotopax on the other side. I have seen people use the rotopax L bracket to mount packs on the side of the tire, but I didnt want to...

    Overland Subaru Tool Kits

I like it. It does block the backup cam (still looking for a good way to relocate it). I put a front runner table on it and have a smaller water container on it. I have a full size KO2 spare on it, so when the car is loaded up it does lower it. Waiting on some new springs to arrive to fix that...
