It's a 1/2 wave dual band, SG-M507 PL-259 style mount. Works ok, I have a 5/8 wave i like better just too tall for that part of the country with all the tree's.
There is two routes into the falls, one is more stock friendly than the other. It can be done by stock and no winch, but i would make sure to have tow straps and a second vehicle. Also check the water crossings we have had rain every day almost in June so some of the crossings could be high.
Not making BCOR this year, have a two week trip planned for August along the trunk road and SW BC. Plus building a trailer so wont be out too many times this year unfortunately.
Banff is a national park, so there is no back country camping so to speak. Link is below for the campground websites for the area. Book early as it is a popular place. The Ghost area north west of Cochrane is probably the closest free camping area. There is also some camping in Kanaskis County...
