Nice. You already live in paradise you may as well try to find heaven.

Nice Lexus. An often overlooked amazingly capable overland vehicle. Welcome.

That sounds amazing! We have a Black Series Classic Double. The Opus was a close second choice for us but the lack of a fully enclosed annex was the deal breaker although the Opus' fit and finish looks nicer. We did our first year of camping at state parks to break in the kiddos. Next year...

Who’s heading to KOAR this September?

That's a good trip. We'll be close but not at the same times exactly. Headed to Northern Wisconsin the 17th to the 24th. Must not have been any cancellations, or enough, because I was never contacted from the waiting list. Next year.

Turns out it's full. Tried to get on the wait-list but I could not find how.

Awesome, thanks so much. I downloaded the OnX Off-road App for dispersed camping and boondocking locations. It's a good app I guess but it relies on people like us to update it so it's pretty light around here. Just getting started so I guess I need to adopt the adventure lifestyle and just...

Sounds amazing. Anyone have any good ideas for off-grid or dispersed camping nearby or in Wisconsin?

Just joining this conversation now. My family and I live in Oostburg, which is just outside of Sheboygan. We haven't started Overlanding yet but plan to start next year. I have a full size GMC and we will be picking up an overland camper this winter. Any recommendations for nearby activity...

    Decisions, decisions

Thanks. My current plan is to get a new(er) vehicle in 2 to 3 years irrespective of whether I sink money into this pig in any real way. To make that happen I need brakes, tires, and some minor repairs done anyway. I like the idea of moving to a 3/4 ton.

    Decisions, decisions

So, my 1500 has the Max Trailering Package (Z82, Z85) on it. Which maybe addresses some of the problems you pointed out. It has bigger springs, 3.73 gears (which isn't 4.10 I know) bigger cooling capacity, etc. How does that play in? I also have the LC9 (I think) and it was, for a bit, giving...

    Decisions, decisions

Hi all, My first real post, I'll try to keep it short. I have a dilemma: do I build up my existing daily driver, or do I purchase a new daily driver to build up? Background: My family and I are getting set to next year begin overlanding. Our idea of overlanding is slightly different and more...

Hi all, My name is Cal, I'm from Wisconsin, and I'm looking to get into overland camping with my family. My wife is on board as it's a hybrid style of camping that departs from my preferred style, backpacking. So, I probably won't be rock climbing or going through giant mud pits but I'm...
