Careful on the cheap ones , I think I really got lucky on this one. As it was well taken care of otherwise.
All the electric , even the a/c working. Almost no rust.
My only suggestion is do your homework before hand , and unless you are planning a complete rebuild , know definitely what it will...
300 mile and a bit yesterday, all highway, and she is running good . Hope I didn't just jinx it.
All ready have a better awning planned out in my head, for when I get back
Got it all slapped together yesterday . New timing chain , oil pump and associated gaskets.
All the way to the corner gas station this morning , no leaks, lol.
Gave her a quick rise as a reward.
All that aside , we did get one short outing to see the "strawberry"? Moon and some stars.
The phone camera never does the heavens their full justice.
Jupiter in the upper right corner last pic , was brilliant.
Well long story short, the golden rule of engine work. If it might be bad and you already have it apart, and you can reach it. check it , fix it or replace it.
I violated that rule, cheaped out by not doing oil pump while it was apart. Oil pump still good , but timing cover gasket was bad or...
Beginning phase 2 , seats are out ( all 5 of them) planning on using the existing bolt holes and studs . So in the future it can all be on done if need be.

Roof rack, possible roof tent
Storage drawers in the boot
Possible exhaust upgrade
Always open to suggestions , advise or things to avoid
Oh and a few trips...
Heads cleaned up, ready to go back in. Uhg, haven't lapped a valve in over 20 years . Kind like riding a bicycle. But first Pwr steering pump and water pump,
