Most of the accessible trails are in the south portion of the base. All the northern and eastern sections are mostly range and impact zones, and you still have to be mindful when on the firebreaks because several routes will take you into restricted areas for POVs (many times without signs or...
Dude totally.
It's mostly just emulation of military culture without actually having to partake. I mean, they're called 'morale' patches because they were initially made as joke patches for fun, to raise morale in the field or 'out in the shit' somewhere. Hell, I collect patches, but the...
Yes and that makes it more midwest than anything. Well nonetheless it's hell and gone from me in SC. Shame because this would have been my first event with OB but I'll have to pass. Seems like a better idea to have region events more center mass in that region so it's more accessible.
Some of these collections are straight up comical.
I think the collections that are the best are either:
a. State/National Parks and other locations you've actually been to
b. Patches you've earned in some way that dont involve visiting a truck stop or Amazon
Hey dude Columbia here - I've been meaning to get to Gluches but don't want to risk denting up my new 4R hah. I usually just offroad the fire breaks on Ft. Jackson. Trails aren't bad at all.
Thanks I appreciate the info!
Might be holding off anything but local events for the time being - my wife is a Drill Sergeant out here and she's working 18 hour days 7 days a week every three month cycle so everything's pretty reliant on me being close by. I think by the time we move out west...
Dealer said they haven't ruled out factory error but they're doing a free touch up next week. I'll keep an eye on the area and if more spots sprout up I'll have them redo the whole hatch or order a replacement. I think they'd do that, no?
Oh yeah that blue really pops. The pic I provided...
Ah there's the decent thing - Dealer told me today that since it's within 90 days or purchase I get free paint touch ups from the body shop there so I'll take it in next week. It's a really good peppering. I don't expect it to look perfect after they're done but I'm not even really bothered by...
Ugh, only time will tell on that. My old Jeep was very stripey, mostly on the roof. Dealer didn't see it when I traded it so whatever haha.
Speaking of similar, I had to take the 4Runner to the dealer today to have them address a paint issue on the lower hatch; I'm getting some chipping all...
Ah thanks for the info. I think I'll stick with the SSO front for now, maybe down the line I'll get the rear done. No need for sliders just yet as I have nerf bars hah. Maybe, one day!
How's the weight on that trailgater? Also, does it interfere with the undercarriage spare location? Dunno yet if I want to hand a full size on the back.
Love that fold down section!
Oh yeah I'm definitely planning on linking up when people when I get settled in there. Might even look for a house in the area if we can find one reasonable priced. I've lived all over the US but have always preferred the west coast and PNW.
Thank you :grinning:
Yeah I saw that color first on this video as well as the off road demonstration there and I was sold.
Back when my wife and I were stationed in Italy, we had bought a very used 1996 Rav4 (like 260k miles on it), in a very similar blue to the 4Runner I have now, just as a...
