To my knowledge all the 2.5’s have 4.10!!! Which is exactly why it was purchased lol the 4.0 currently has 3.07 and while it’s certainly driveable w/ the current 31x10.50’s, 5th gear is non existent. The axles will be swapped in short order!!
Fairly new to this myself but 2 apps that I use to find campsites are iOverlander and BoonDocking. The iOverlander app is nice as I can import gps coordinates straight into Gaia from the app. Not sure about the clearance issues and Gaia. Hope this helps!
Didn’t plan on buying it, at least not this soon, but the price was right! The little 2.5 seized up @ 258k but those axles w/ 4.10s will be a welcome replacement for the 3.07s in my current TJ. Thinking about making the back 1/2 into an expo/ rtt trailer, dad really wants to empty out the engine...
The saf-t-caps are pretty decent from what you can tell but this is my first Jeep and first time dealing w/ them. It’s solid and I have no doubts about pavement and even mild-moderate trails, but I’d say if you beat it on the rocks or bury one to the frame in mud and start jerking on it, you’re...
Apparently the issue was with the browsers I was using. Neither Safari on my iPhone nor Microsoft edge on laptop would add items to cart from the store. Downloaded Google chrome and no issues at all. Hopefully this helps anyone else having the same issues
Watching this thread as I am planning a trip for my wife and I as well as my dad +1 to take our TJ’s from Ohio to the Ourey/ Telluride/ Silveton area using backroads and a few state highways around the second week of September this year. I’m new to this as well but if you haven’t, check out the...
Welcome as well! Really appreciate the advice on spare sensors and u-joints. Only running 31’s for now and don’t plan to go more than 33’s so I’m thinking the d35 should hold up, the passenger side frame has a saf-t-cap so I don’t plan on beating on it, just cruising back roads and mild passes
Thanks! for 22 yr old ohio jeep the tub is pretty solid, only a couple small rust spots. Drivers side frame had been replaced before I bought it but I had to saf-t-cap the passenger side as the rear trailing arm mount was completely rusted off. Gotta love the salt shakers this time of year!!
This is Nighthawk. My dad got a red TJ just before I got mine. We decided on Dragon and Nighthawk, if you've seen Step Brothers you'll get the reference :tearsofjoy:
Hello, I have been trying to purchase a membership +emblem through the store and when I click add to cart it does nothing. This is happening on mobile as well as through the full site. Thanks in advance for any help regarding this issue
Thanks for the welcome! I might be a bit optimistic/ naïve about taking the jeep to CO as it has 220k on the clock but the 4.0 runs like a dream, planning to stick to county rds and state highways though so maybe avoiding the interstates will help lol. My wife and I both want to take a trip to...
