I finally got around to taking a longish (11,000 miles) road trip that I’d been wanting to do for 40 years: Virginia to the Arctic Ocean and back, with a side trip through Alaska so I could visit my 50th state. Mostly decent weather, better roads than expected, and lots of mosquitoes. :relaxed:

Heading West this summer to do, hopefully, a couple of "Jeep trails" in Colorado and Utah while hitting national parks along the way. I love doing these types of adventures with folks who might not have done this sort of thing very often, so the fact that my fellow adventurers this time 'round...
I don't know that folks would call it an overland trip since I'll probably be staying in hotels (albeit 2-star), but I'm thinking the time has come to start considering checking a 40-year-old entry off my Bucket List.
Anybody driven the Dempster? Thought? Recommendations?
