Well I wouldn’t say I’m new here but my vehicle is, used to be a Diehard Jeeper but have since branched out. Current rig is an 01 Isuzu Trooper, ARB front bumper w/(2) 9in led lights, led headlights, 2in lift Old Man Emu Coils and rancho shocks. Pro Comp wheels wrapped in Toyo Open Country’s...
We bought our really nice Kelty Discovery tent from our local REI pretty inexpensive but a nice tent none the less plenty of room and great rainfly for those rainy days. $84 and it has served us well
We didn’t find anything off-road like around there but did pass a Jeep group of at least 15 coming back down. So it wouldn’t surprise me if the locals new of some trails there.
It’s actually a ZJ snorkel it’s fits the same body lines you just don’t use any of the rest of the kit you have to make your own ‘path’ to the throttle body
We just decided to pack up and go without a plan just a direction, didn’t know where we would be spending the night or what we would be eating for our meals. We packed up all the gear: tent, sleeping bags, refrigerator, camping grill etc. We decided to head towards hot springs NC, the first...
iOverlander is great! Even my wife said “that’s awesome, you better thank that guy for telling you” haha
Anyway adventure is necessary so we are leaving tonight headed east and we will see where we go
We are planning a trip to NC or Virginia and we’re wondering good places to camp in the area and things to see. We’re thinking about hot springs NC or possibly Brevard NC couldn’t decide where in Virginia any natives to the area have any advice?
That’s a good question, I’m not sure. That’s more of a state thing for instance TN we have no inspection so it would be good to check your state laws. I just know the insurance side is ok with it, and technically you just need to have appropriate insurance for your vehicle. So if it classifys as...
Correct you pick an amount a take pictures to verify it’s not to bad comprehensive coverage would cover if anything was stolen including the whole trailer. When it’s being towed and connected it falls under your vehicles insurance because it’s attached
When you get inspection you will probably be given a VIN from the state. You would use that and it would be labeled as “other” make sure you get an “agreed value” not actual cash value. They will come out an inspect the RV and you will agree on the value of the camper.
Yes website and store at the bottom of the mountain. Anything from gravel trails too rock crawling there is and overlook that you must see and the windmill you can get a map at the store at the bottom
No problem I’ve got the fridge already and in a year it could probably pay off a tent.
It’s important to tell them you have a rooftop tent attached, a refrigerator, and and cooking. They will list as a truck camper. It’s essentially the same thing if you were to have a camper in an F350 bed...
I am new here but I was just wanting share some knowledge that I recently discovered about where our vehicles classified in the insurance world.
