    Fitting 35"s on a Silverado

I’m with you on not lifting to tall. I mistook your post implying you could stuff 37’s on a GM with 3 inches of lift alone. Looks like the OP got it right with coil overs, UCA’s and a little diff drop to fit his 35’s. That’s the perfect setup for these trucks IMO. For what it’s worth I’m...

    Fitting 35"s on a Silverado

Those long travel kits require glass fenders and bedsides also.

Maybe an inch or so from the top of the fender. I’ll try to get a picture looking down the side of the truck in a bit.

Thanks! They’re 18x9 -12 offset, 4.5 back space. No worries of rubbing control arms here.

    Sierra Build up

Always good to see another GM truck here! You mentioned upgrading your shocks, and adding a level, but didn’t mention your budget. I’m currently on 305/65r18 (34x12) with a 2.25 spacer level. I did have to do some trimming (“NorCal” mod), but no rubing at all. I currently have about 34,000...

How big is big enough? - Tire sizes

305/65r18 (34x12) Falkens on a GM half ton with a 2.25 strut spacer front level/ lift. Seem to be a good balance of ground clearance/ off road capability and on road manners.

    Truck topper

I’m running an ARE z series with a 200 + lb CVT Mt Ranger summit on it. So far so good . I called CVT and the customer service rep stated they don’t recommend over 250 lbs on their standard fiberglass caps. I assumed that’s a dynamic 250 lbs... That said I would’ve bought the ARE CX HD cap if...

    33" vs 35" Toyota Tundra

I’m not sure what your wheels size will be but you could also consider a tire size in between those two. 33x12.5 typically run 32.5” diameter and 35x12.5 are usually a 34.5”. I’m running 305/65r18 which measures out to 33.6 x 12 I’m sure you could find something comparable in a metric 17”...

17 Sierra 1500. 2 years in the making.

Continuing... at about that point we loaded the truck up and made the 2500 mile move to Idaho. My dogs really liked that fan in the shell when we were driving through New Mexico and Arizona in late June. After getting settled we made a few day trips through the national forest. As I knew they...

17 Sierra 1500. 2 years in the making.

So, as the title eludes to, I’ve had this truck for a little over two years. It was purchased new in Mississippi when we were still living in Louisiana. Here she is right after getting home for the dealership. 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab, Z71 4x4 6.2, with 8 speed transmission and 3.23...

    Fitting 35"s on a Silverado

So OP. Where’d you end up with lift, wheels, and tires? I’m fixing to put wheels and tires on a 17 Sierra 1500 with a 2.25” level. I Already have the 18x9 -12 offset Method wheels. I’ve just about decided on 305/65r18 (33.5x12).
