I agree! Do it right the first time and get the Alucab. I bought a Batwing last year and it broke on the first trip out. A leg seized up and will no longer extend. A few of the guy rope loops ripped off. A few of the guy ropes broke during a strong gust of wind. It's cheap.
Everyone is different, but I would cap it and make sure it's fully sealed for weatherproof, then put a rack on it. My reason for weatherproofing is due to dust/dirt/sand/rain and less worries of things falling out. Also saves you the time of not needing to secure/tie everything down. Open the...
The only other option would be to mount it underneath the trailer which would mean I'll have to get a new water tank because I don't want to lose the storeage space of the bed at all. I'll have to Google to see what's available as far as water tank options goes...
My rig is an '07 FJ Cruiser. I'm in the process of "building" a trailer. I have a 30 gal water tank I'm planning to mount directly in the front, outside of the bed, on the tongue of the trailer. Along with this water tank, there will be a tool box (recovery gear, tools) and my electrical box...
So I am in the process of modding a used 4x6 trailer I just picked up. Mods are going to be pretty standard; rock lights, shower system, and a fridge. I have a spare Odyssey 2150 I plan on throwing into the trailer for power. I am new to solar and don't know a thing about it. I'm looking through...
Do you guys have pictures of the basic deluxe 5x8 off-road model with the default package? I'm looking through the pictures on the site but I can't tell which is which. What are the costs to replace the standard hubs with Toyota? For the water tank, is it pressurized for showers? How much does...
I have the full size Batwing with two of their extensions and here are my thoughts. This is my first awning and also my first time using it. Let's start with the cons:
1. The twist lock design of the poles suck. On my first time use, one broke, and another refuses to lock no matter how much I...
It's come down to either an Icon suspension or a dual battery setup and a Snomaster lp96 fridge.
For suspension I currently have Daystar spacers and for cooling my food/drinks I currently use an Ozark cooler. Thoughts?
This is for an '07 FJ.
