No everything i read said do not sand chrome because the whole reason behind using plastidip is that you can take it back off if you want to...all you need to do is clean the area before applying. It has not been on long enough to give any insight on how it will hold up but from online reviews...

Replaced front dented chrome impact bar with a new black one and plastidipped the remaining chrome parts on the back of the truck

Finally got my Nitto Ridge Grapplers put on along with some Bilstein 5100s front and back. Removed the 2" rear blocks and put in the factory 1", added a 2.5" level kit to the front took the rake from 2.5" to 1". New ball joints UCAs and replaced the left front hub assembly... Rides so much...

I've been kayak fishing for abut 15 years to me its the best way to fish. I know a raft is easy for storage but hooks knives etc in a raft = a possible very wet adventure...
