First Aid Questions and Suggestions Post Here

That's what I had heard. Do not tourniquet, calm patient, initiate EMS. Pretty much all you can do.

    2WD to Montana and Utah

More by the airport. I’m friends with a lot of people that went to Tate. I grew up in Pace. I see you are at LeJeune now, I spent the rest of my childhood at Cherry Point and college in Wilmington. Small world.

    2WD to Montana and Utah

My wife and are are in the beginning stages of planning a vacation. We would like to see Wyoming, Montana, and maybe Utah. We will be leaving Pensacola, FL and driving my 2wd Pre-runner Tacoma. This will occur potentially in April 2020. My question is: we want to see some stuff, but are limited...

Please shed some light on this for me: I had to perform venomous snake bite first aid for a test lane. When asked what to do with the snake, I spouted off that I don't care about the snake because all anti-venom is the same. I have come to learn that this may only be true by continent/region...

What would you do here? Chainsaw Injury [WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGE IN THE POST]

Looks delicious. Pretty superficial, but man can those jagged blades make for a gnarly cut. Whoever did those staples did a very nice job. This patient definately needs to be treated for shock. I believe shock to be the worst secondary "injury" in a case like this.

What would you do here? Chainsaw Injury [WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGE IN THE POST]

In response to your questions: When applying a "hasty" tourniquet to an extremity, we go high and tight. The reason for this is that an artery will get pulled up into the extremity. Imagine the wound is midline between the waist and the knee, the femoral can move a lot. Generally, around two...

    Strange Encounters in the Woods...

Me and a couple buddies were camping on Padre Island National Seashore near Mustang Island Texas. When we are kayak fishing down there, we park the trucks parallel to the ocean and sleep under the stars, behind the tires to stay out of the wind. When we go to fish, we go to fish, not sleep...

    Florida Panhandle

This week, I took my Camry from San Antonio to Pensacola, FL. It just so happened to be Red, White and Blues weekend. For those of you that don’t know, the US Navy precision flying team, the Blue Angels have an air show over the beach here every year. It’s a huge deal in Pensacola. I also wanted...

    2006 Trailblazer

hardtrailz, I like your rig and all the solid work that has gone into it. I have been considering a trailblazer as my base lately. I think it will give me the perfect size I'm looking for, as well as the Chevy parts and build that I'm used to. Do you know of any special areas I should watch...
