Started on the sleeping platform for the 4th Gen 4Runner. Hoping to have it at least ready for trial run with my kids scout camporee in three weeks. Just got my cross bars in the mail a few weeks ago for my DIY Roof Rack. Going to be a busy spring.
Cross bars from Sherpa's scratch and dent. Was cheaper then Tnutzs. Have all the parts for my DIY Sherpa/Prinsu style roof rack for the 4runner.
Next purchase will be plywood for drawers / bed

When you do Acadia make sure you make reservations yearly. If you want to drive up Cadillac mountain sometimes there are set times you have to sign up for. Fort Lamoine is a State park with camping close by Acadia. Has a really nice bathhouse and a small beach. Had a playground...
Interested to hear the results of the stress test. Eventually I will be getting either a JK or a LC100/LX470 to replace the 4Runner and curious to see how this pans out.
My vote is alone or alone with the Honey. Less drama, less coordination needed. Yes you need to be more cautious and be more prepared but the trade offs are worth it.

Sounds like she is going to the same camporee our kids are going to. Same time frame. Going to be thousands of people there if not 10s of thousands. Thanks for the suggestions will add them to the list. The "lots of nothing" is one of the major reasons I am looking forward to this trip also.
This is why I have the Organ donor option marked on my license, phone, and in my living will. Hopefully if ever my luck runs out someone else like @Outdoordog takes my spare parts out on more adventures.
