    Custom vehicle springs?

Working on a '42 WIllys and a former owner installed aftermarket springs on it. Sadly they ride like a rock. No suspension at all. Does anyone know where one can get a set of springs manufactured for a vehicle? Since it's already modified, it would be nice to have a more modern functional...

    Resolved RESOLVED Map's having issues.

Something's changed in the way the member's map is running. I thought it was completely broken, but it turns out that it just loads REALLY slow. We're talking, walk away from your computer, do something else while it loads. While loading, it locks up the process that's used to view it. You can't...

    How about steam powered rotisserie?

Was thinking how to go about roasting something over a camp fire using some sort of rotisserie. I've seen where people make a paddlewheel in a creek and use that. I thought about the self powered fans for setting on wood burning stoves. Then it came to me. How about a steam powered rotisserie...

Event Cancelled - BBQ with freaks n geeks. - 11/03/2018

Having a BBQ with a bunch of locals. Most of the people coming build things from electronics to race cars to boats and more. I figured the people building overland vehicles would be a good mix in. Sadly, I thought of this at mostly the last minute. So if you are good at curve balls, show up...

    RE:New Member introductions

Why make people go somewhere else for introducing themselves? In the main forum, your post is lost in about 10 minutes and a very low percentage will be local to you anyway. What's wrong with introducing yourself "locally"? -jim lee

    A "cooler" idea.

I don't really want to buy an electric cooler. But I have issues with everything being drown in yuch by the third day in my ice chest. The problem with the ice chest is that you need to keep "going into town" to get ice for it. If I use milk jugs full of frozen water, I solve the drowning issue...

The random pix in the top left corner.

This is not a request for anything. I just wanted to tell them that put this together, I think the picture links in the top left corner of the window are a pretty cool idea. I find myself noticing them now and again, clicking and going down different rabbit holes where they lead. Its been fun...

    Baker River road? NW Washington

I 'm seeing that if you cross the baker lake dam you can get on Baker river road. The far end of this road begins in the town of Concrete. Is anyone familiar with this road? On the google map it shows that there is a break in the middle. I was wondering what the break was? It looks like it may...

I seem to have fallen off the member map.

Used to be there but now I seem to be gone. Even the find function doesn't locate me. I don't think I changed anything in my profile that would effect this. -jim lee

    Picture limits?

Currently posts are limited to 20 images. Is there any way to up this limit? I find that, build logs for example, can have a lot more images than 20. More like 60 at times. Busting up your post in 20 image blocks is kinda'.. Tiresome? Thanks! -jim lee

    Repurpose stuff.

We were heading out camping and found we needed a few things. One was an ice chest. Not wanting to turn back, Julie came up with the idea of hitting the Oak Harbor Wall Mart. Long story short, we found a Rubbermaid ice chest on special for around six dollars. I figured it would be fine for the...

Need ideas for first trip. NW WA

I finally got the Carryall back together and seemingly running. We took it out on a short Burger Patrol yesterday to see if it would go about on its own power. And, like I said, so far everything seems to be working. Well, except the new speedo, but that's a minor point. At the Bastion in...
