It was still pretty dry when I did this. Now that it has rained a few times I am not sure. Thinking of heading out there tomorrow after Church, I will let you know.

    Tire Pressure While Overlanding

Normal tire pressure is 32 - 40 depending on driving conditions. For offroading anywhere from 15 - 25 and really it depends on tire surface, terrain surface. For my conditions which is rooty rocky trails and road I prefer around 20. Really you should test various pressures with your rig on...

    Winter driving And exploring

Maybe I missed it but I didn't see a point in here about letting someone know your plan: 1. Provide a set maps for them. 2. Let them know your check in points or approximate times. If you have On Spot or In Reach them that person should have access. 3. If you don't have On Spot or In Reach or...

Gaia vs onXmaps - Private Land Info

Otherwise it is only $30 a year, a few bucks a month. The service is great. I almost don't even use my Garmin any more. I have found that you can have multiple devices going at a time. I keep my iPad and iPhone going at the same time so if I want to get out and walk around I don't have...

So, why'd you buy the overland vehicle you did?

My Ranger wasn't bought specifically for Overlanding, instead it was my Uncle's truck that he kept at his Cabin in Wyoming. He bought a new vehicle so I bought the truck from him. 14 year old 4wd enters the family and we have been having fun with it ever since. It is not my primary driver but...

Curious why no Colorado but you are interested in a Canyon. I myself am waiting for the new Ranger and the Scrambler. Very excited that the truck market is about to get shook up.

Cast Iron or No? (weight right now is not an issue for me)

We use cast iron at home and at camp. But it is not our only source of pans. Somethings just done work with cast iron, like anything that has acidic properties.

So, why'd you buy the overland vehicle you did?

Curious as why a truck over and SUV? I have a truck but due family size and dogs I am thinking of trading for an SUV. Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk
