    in 2003 we didn't have mraps, in fact, we didn't have armored hmmwv's. lol just sandbags but they weren't doing the ied thing then. those didn't get popular until the second time I went there. a good friend of mine got blown up in 2005. he and 3 others in the vehicle (an up armored hmmwv)...

    a good thing to do when you have little ones, especially in mountain lion or bear territory is lace bells on to their shoe strings in case the wander off or god forbid, they get snatched up by an animal.

    this is a spur of the moment trip but ill be traveling from Yuma, AZ to Bishop, CA if anyone wants to meet up for a beer. I'm visiting family and will be there from 02 march to 10 march. we probably wont be going to Alabama hills but north more possibly to Aurora, NV where Samuel Clemens lived...

    New CB antenna, not sure I like it.

    now you need to tune it to the radio. pick up a cheap swr meter and test it. get on youtube and look up how to tune a cb antenna. also, look up a website called right channel radio.

    look into san sevine flats east of baldy. you can get there from lytle creek. I think the road number is 1n34. you can go from lytle creek to sapphire but knowing the forest circus, its probably closed. pretty neat area at the joe Elliot tree (big tree), at least it used to be. I havnt...
