CA Central Canada Ontario - Slumberjack Roadhouse Screen Tarp - $300 CAD - Local Pickup

Hi Matt, I was able to sell this locally and forgot to update this post. Sorry about that. I used crossborderpickups.ca when I ordered. I’m sure there must be one of these outfits serving Calgary as well. Best of luck. Kirk

CA Central Canada Ontario - Slumberjack Roadhouse Screen Tarp - $300 CAD - Local Pickup

*SOLD* I purchased a Slumberjack Roadhouse Screen Tarp last month hoping it would work with my pop up camper on the back of my pickup. Long story short, it needs to drape over the roof of the vehicle to work properly and that is not possible for me. Would be great for a Jeep, SUV, minivan or...

I want to see the Rams

My 2017 did this fairly noticeably when I first got it, but it either went away or I’ve unconsciously changed how I slow down to avoid it. Don’t think I’d replace the transmission because of it.

Getting your Ham License in Canada

Hey folks, RAC (the Canadian equivalent to the ARRL) is currently running both Basic and Advanced courses in an online format. I am taking the Advanced course and it is excellent. It is also currently possible to take your exams online with a certified examiner anywhere in Canada (normally...

I want to see the Rams

Sweet setup and great looking truck. Did you make that battery shelf?

I want to see the Rams

It would be an awesome combo if they redid the space frame to work with Ram boxes... the flip up sides on the cap are a game changer for accessing the bed - having the Ram box storage there too? I would have been all over that.

I want to see the Rams

I use the truck bed to climb up but a side door and ladder is an option. The 3 rear panels can be rearranged with the small ones on either side or to the rear, and it’s the small panels you pop out to climb up.

I want to see the Rams

Sorry for the late reply - clearly I need to check the forums more often. Here are some before the level and new wheels/tires. I only had it out once in February and then everything closed in March. Weather was around -5 C and I was comfortable with a space heater. Setup is super easy and...

I want to see the Rams

2017 Ram 1500 QC Sport Hemi. 2” Bilstein level with Icon 1.5” coils in the rear. Rebel wheels with BFG AT KO2 in 275/85r17. Oh ya, and the GFC!

Anyone on here, order or receive a Go Fast Camper?

That’s what I’ve done. My RAM 1500 has a removable panel in the tailgate. I cut sections out of an old nylon dog leash and used the two bolts on each bed of the panel to secure it. Stays flat enough to not get in the way and makes it easier to pull up the tailgate. Also installed a DeeZee...

What did you do to your full size rig today?

I swapped out the cigarette lighter port in the back seat for a PowerPole outlet so I can run an Orion-Tr 12/12-18A DC-DC converter to charge the LiFePO4 battery I plan on using for my fridge. This is plan B, since plan A of running the charging brick from the stock inverter was a total fail.

New Technician License - Mobile Radio Questions

I’m not sure I’m qualified to make recommendations - only been licensed a year. I’ve got VX-7R handheld myself (discontinued). It has dual VFOs which I like, but isn’t really critical to me. FT-60R looks like a solid radio with a similar feature set, but I’ve never touched one so can’t really...

    2016 Ram Rebel

Good looking rig! Can you provide some more details on your dual battery setup? Is it connected to the starter battery, or strictly charged from solar or shore power? I’m looking to do something similar in my 2017 Ram 1500.

Buying a(n) FTM-400xdr, what are the must have accessories?

I found the Yaesu MLS-200-M10 external speaker was a good accessory to get. Works well with the FTM-400XDR and is loud and clear, even jammed behind the dash.

New Technician License - Mobile Radio Questions

I’ve only been a Ham for a year, so fairly new to the industry too. I will say I was watching the FTM-400 here in Canada from December until April. They had several “sales” that ended at a particular date, but there always seemed to be another one with the same discount starting right after...
