Yes, the idea isn't to get the tent to 70-80 degrees. If we can get the tent to 45-55 that is plenty. Your sleeping bag should be able to keep you warm from that point.
We use a Mr. Buddy in the annex of our RTT. We also have a battery powered CO detector near us in the sleeping area. This is a good idea for any fuel based heater in an enclosed space.

Only other option I have this will fit on top of a SWB JK would be something like this traditional tent. They are super high quality. Much more robust than other tents out there.
