The ranger station on the north side of the lake has awesome paper maps that can’t be beat. They are put together by Yamaha and the USFS to keep the trails open. The ratings on the trails are for the most part to the T accurate as far as difficulty.

We picked up the Colman 12 cup coffee pot that sits on the burner of the stove. Makes great coffee but dang it takes up so much room we only take it on trips with the toy hauler just so we can say we didn't waste money on it.

It's kinda cheating but 84 lumber has a big dumpster they discard the cut offs into. For about $20 I fill my truck bed with 2x4's and 2x6 short cuts. I stuff an old extra large duffle bag with them and haul it on the roof rack. It holds about a wheel barrow full. It's there if it's needed and...
Camping all these years people would talk about the Bear they heard through the night. About 2011 I got my resmed 9s with humidifier. Ran it with my Honda 2000 generator for years until I found the 12v plug. With just the truck battery I could go two night running my machine and not driving...
We have a Colman one burner/BBQ for when we have room and plan big meals. But for the most part we down sized our big cooking camp box and now use a larger back pack we hang from the rack. We keep a one burner stove and a propane bottle in the bag. It's really worked out great for tailgate...
We don't always get the prime camp spot at Midway Wells but when we do the old foundation cooks potatoes perfect and the steak turns out great over ironwood fire. But like all good spots it's first come first serve.

MLK weekend is a free no permit required weekend. They ask for folks to pick up trash offering shirts and a lunch along with a big raffle. I've been kicking around the idea of leaving the toy hauler and bikes at home and just bringing the truck. Spend Friday night in wash 15 along the...

Hey Folks;
My Wife and I just recently joined OB and this years Expo was the first event we have attended at this level or style. Thousands of people all in one place. We missed our chance to find the white jeep under the BIG Flag (aka) base camp and wanted to say thanks for the invite. It...

This is a very hot subject. As law enforcement has the way they read the law and lawyers have how they read the law. It all leaves us with doing our best to be safe and maintain a safe secure location for our fire arms. It is our responsibility to train with that weapon. I've worked hard to...
If it's already in the shop have him drop the pan and change the filter. If it has one. If it's ok then it's the coast of a pan gasket and fluid change. If you are already replacing the fluid it's not that big a deal. If there is damage there should be signs in the pan. Just my two cents...
Love it. I grew up on the trail. We hold up the number of vehicles in our group as a wave. If the on coming vehicle is in destress we stop and see how we can help. It's just second nature. If its on the highway we do a drive by and circle around to ensure it's safe. It's just good old...
