What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Under no circumstances can I leave this webpage until you tell me where you got the bear bottle opener. I’m left hanging by a thread of anticipation, hoping you respond post haste....

Awesome photo and FJ.....but quite frankly I’m more interested in the cabin. Can we get a “cabin walk-around” video? (Only half kidding here...)

    Rig Photos

Some photos from earlier today. An Xterra buddy and myself ventured up near Mt Adams in Washington. We made it just above 4K feet in altitude before the fresh powder got too deep to continue on. It was a beautiful, scenic day. It was a cold day, but a good day. Only one minor...

    1st time to Southern Arizona

Despite living in the Pacific Northwest now, I’m quite familiar with this area. I lived in Sierra Vista while being stationed at Ft Huachuca for a year. I spent many weekends exploring the Huachucas, the Mule Mountains, the areas around Patagonia and Nogales. I miss it every day.

...and finally, an impromptu trip up to the Olympics last weekend to catch the early season snow fall.

2014 Xterra Pro-4x Build and Adventure Thread

Still haven't gone through and fixed all of my photos yet, it's such a daunting task. Regardless, I wanted to go through and post some photos from my summer/fall trips thus far. Trip up the Fortune Creek Trail in the Cascades in July. The Old Barlow Road around Mt Adams in Oregon in August...

    Nissan Frontier PRO-4x Build

No problem, here to help. No better time to upgrade tires than right BEFORE winter . You'll be able to get out and enjoy the snowy back roads and trails! For what it's worth, I've had both Goodyear Duratracs (previously) and BFG KO2s (current tires) on my Xterra. I highly recommend both...

    Nissan Frontier PRO-4x Build

Tires. Get new tires. The BFGs that came with your year (looks like a 2014, before they swapped the BFGs for the Dynapros) are not good. A set of good all-terrain tires in either the 265/75/16 OEM size, or 285/75/16 (one size up) will take you many places. Also, look at removing the OEM...

    Nissan Frontier PRO-4x Build

Congrats on the new Frontier! I'm a pseudo-experienced Xterra owner (basically a Frontier without the truck bed), so let me know if you have any questions. The SMOD issue was remedied in 2011, so you won't have any issues with that. Don't worry about having to replace you factory radiator.

    Trasharoo Mount

I mount mine on my Gobi ladder regularly. Sorry, no pictures, but I assure you it works. I use it to haul my firewood in, and haul my trash out.:grinning:

Smittybilt 12k winch / ARB bumper

It looks like the requirements for mounting a Smittybilt winch in an ARB bumper are fairly standardized, regardless of vehicle. I have an Xterra with an ARB bumper and Smittybilt XRC 9500, and I also had to: 1. Purchase an offset hawse fairlead. I purchased the Custom Splice offset hawse. Great...

Trixter404's 2011 Nissan Xterra Build & Adventure Thread

I can tell you that with 1 inch BORA spacers, my rear frame rub at full stuff with 33s is completely gone. I've been on multiple off-road trips with Trixter since he installed his spacers, and can tell you that he gets no frame rub, either.

At the Burley Mountain fire lookout yesterday in south central Washington. From this one spot, I had amazing views of Mt Ranier, Mt Adams, Mt St. Helens, and Mt Hood further to the south in Oregon.

    Fortune Creek/Gallagher Head Lake, WA

I'll be in North Carolina for the next week and a half, but I want to run this trail the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd if anyone is interested. I'll probably also try to camp up that way.

Northwest - Memorial Day Weekend, WABDR (modified)

Awesome part 2! I sincerely wish I could have stuck it out with the group for night two. The good news is Mocha (the 3 lb Yorkie) is fine. At 14 years old, I didn't want to take any chances though. I'm looking forward to another adventure with this group soon!!

2014 Xterra Pro-4x Build and Adventure Thread

Thanks! The Xterra is really a much different vehicle from the JK. The most glaring difference being SFA vs IFS. For overland purposes, they're comparable in performance. Extremely technical off-roading and rock crawling, the JK seems to have the advantage over everything else currently...
