Thank you all for coming out on this trip! We enjoyed meeting all of you and even though the second half of Saturday was a washout, we enjoyed the newfound friends and company on the trails! Looking forward to the next time we can get another organized trip!

Ok, so final update before tomorrow... Our group will be leaving tomorrow AM around 9. We should get to Switzer Lake at about 11. Terry... we will have our radios on and set to 15-0 when we get near the trailhead. If you happen to get there before us, no problem. I'll be doing a 3 minute...

Yeah, so on Friday it said only a few scattered showers, but as of today, it says Thunderstorms for Saturday... but it could all change in 2-3 days. Fingers crossed...

If anyone has some large, pop up canopies they can bring, we can make a decent hangout area and not have to worry about the rain so much. My only concern is thunderstorms... but we're 3 days out. We shall see what happens.

yES & nO... Obviously for camping/hangout purposes, it's going to be a pain. But, as far as the trail ride goes, we can still do a trail ride with some weather. Hopefully the weather changes and nothing happens.

Yes, but for some reason I get the best signal with that channel in that area. We can fool around with different channels when we get up there.

You have lots of good choices in V/WV Border. Flagpole Knob, Switzer Lake, Big Levels, Union Springs, Potts Mountain, Crabtree Falls... there are plenty of trails, ranging from easy to difficult as far as 4x4 level goes, all with decent camping areas. Just do your research and get out there...

So my best modified version is actually Maruchan Yakisoba Noodle pack ( chewier, thicker noodle ) with cut up hot dogs, korean spam ( a little less salty ), firm tofu, kimchi and sliced garlic w/ half and half of chicken stock/water. I pre-prep everything before a trip, and put the hot dogs...

Spam is delicious when you add it to a package of budae-jjigae ( korean army stew )noodles, along with some kimchi and tofu. If you haven't tried it, please do! It's amazing on a cold night out camping. It'll warm you right up and it all can be boiled in one pot!

So... I'd like to ask what everyone would like to do as far as food goes...? Usually we like to do a communal meal one night, like steaks or something, Anybody have any thoughts? I know I will be doing pancakes and bacon both mornings, so if anybody would like to get in on that, lmk as well.
