    Fridge slide cable management?

Look for "cable carriers" . they are used in machinery that has sliding mechanisms... https://www.mcmaster.com/cable-carriers

Rig compliments in the urban jungle.

I get asked about the scratched paint all the time. I've built my truck to be very subdued, so, occasionally, I do get an eagle eyed person complimenting me on that.

Man dies in off-roading crash at Seven Mile ORV Park

Once again, if the truck has a cage, he wasn't belted in without a helmet, it's REAL easy for him to hit his head on one of the bars. Even at low speed.

    Start with a ‘salvage’?

Just keep that in mind if you ever plan to sell. Having "salvage Title" Will mean some buyers will walk away and EVERY buyer will want a deal. But, If you can get in cheap and don't really plan to sell it anytime soon, sure.

    Favorite Overland Mods

I'd like to claim I thought of it, but, I saw it somewhere on the interwebs.

    Favorite Overland Mods

It's not a "modification" or anything cool, but, my best habit is always analyzing what I pack and how and if I use it. Figuring out things that don't work, take up too much space, are never used etc, is a real space and time saver. My wife and I talk about this during and after each trip we...

Man dies in off-roading crash at Seven Mile ORV Park

Roll cage + not belted in and no helmet = bad news. Also, that looks like a Willys Pickup. Those door latches are NOT really that secure, so, I can see him getting ejected rather easily. I really hope this wasn't the child passenger's father.....

    DIY Trailer Concept

Also, in MN, once it's registered as a pull behind camper, it will need yearly registration, where if it's just a utility trailer, you can just keep the lifetime tag and no plates.

Time to Titan swap the front.....+10" of wheel travel, longer control arms and no front swaybar = smooth like a caddy both on and off road.

    Spare parts

I bring a spare CV axle on the more extreme trips. Aside from that, fluids, zip ties, a box of hose clamps, a few bits of wire and some butt connectors, duct tape and ratchet straps. To be honest, you are never really that far from civilization, so, as long as you can get your vehicle...

Yup, it's another suspension question. But I desperately need your thoughts!

I have no first hand knowledge with either company, but, where you live and how much you plan to service the suspension also plays in. My truck is a daily driver and where I live we get long winters and loads of road salt, so, I chose NOT to go with any suspension parts with heim joints or...

    Help with cold weather trip

I'd also mention that if your friend is a grown adult, you should be able to suggest to him a few things and then, aside from packing an extra blanket or something, if he is cold, well, that's on him. I did this with my wife once when we went camping and it was going to get a little cool. She...

2011 Xterra low lift w35s build and adventures

As long as you are running a quality Hub Centric spacer, there is no harm in it. Personally, I'd run the longer spacer that uses the oem studs to hold the spacer and has separate studs for the wheels than running longer studs and everything is held on like that. I've got about 25K miles on my...

I use regular tool bags. The husky ones from Home depot seem to fit the bill for me.

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

@Lanlubber you are correct. One thing I told my wife when we had our Son was "I no longer have the right to die" which meant I needed to exclude my self from the shenanigans that a young man gets in to as it was my responsibility to be there for him as he grows up. BUT.... after spending 3 days...

    4 Wheel Drive issues

I have a friend who just did this on his XJ and used the Azzy parts. For the cost of finding the parts new or even used to still have a poorly designed non adjustable unit, he was money ahead just getting the aftermarket part.
