#229 here, I'm in Northern Virginia and I am interested in seeing how this gets developed. For local trails and camps, we have Shenandoah National Forest and George Washington National Forest. The nearby off-road parks are Chaos, Twin Mountain, Gore, Anthracite, and Rausch Creek. If any further...
With some skill I think it would surely be possible. I'd play around with some photoshop ideas first though. But bumper guards for first gen Xterras are relatively cheap at junkyards so one could really practice with an actual product.
After quite a while of not hitting the trails, I finally installed some much needed upgrades. Most importantly, I replaced the dead factory auto-locking hubs with Warn manual locking hubs, so I now have 4WD again.

Holy thread revival batman! The Xterra has gone through a slight change since I last posted in here. Still a work in progress. Still sporting #229 though!
Picked up the Eureka K2 XT tent from backcountry.com ( http://www.backcountry.com/eureka-k-2-xt-tent-3-person-4-season )
We tested it out in George Washington National Forest earlier in December 2015. Also field tested the Yeti in cold weather for the first time. Oddly (but not surprising)...
