    OB Members South Dakota

Black Hills Members. I am currently in the Black Hills for the rest of today and all of tomorrow. Staying at the Palmer Gulch KOA. What trails do you recommend? Novice to medium skills (not afraid to admit it) and my rig has to get me back home to Sioux Falls on Tuesday. Thanks.

    Rimrocker trail

Stupid question here, but please indulge me for a second of your time. Is it possible to do the Rimrocker Trail from Moab to Montrose? Everything I have found is titled “Montrose to Moab”. Is it possible to do it backwards? Thank you.

I know coming late to the conversation but I used electrical conduit clamps with wing nuts. Less than $5.00 at Home Depot.

    Lift size for overlanding?

It's a 350 with the TH400. I drive it about 400 miles every weekend and would love an overdrive trans. I think is has 3.73 gears but I don't know for sure. 33" tires with the 3 speed at 65-70 MPH its running about 2800-3000 RPM. I would love to get that down 800-1000 RPM or so. I have...

    Lift size for overlanding?

I am looking at ORD (OffRoad Design) as they specialize in Chevy and more importantly square bodies. From what I've read they are top notch and know everything there is to know about lifting square bodies.

Yeah I'm not looking for a rock crawler but want it to handle some rocks if need be.

Love the barn doors. I love the idea of being able to sit on the tailgate but would much rather prefer the barn doors on my rig. I'm digging the RTT. Maybe at some point I can add one.

    Lift size for overlanding?

I completely agree. I don't want to go too tall and raise my center of gravity too much.

    Lift size for overlanding?

That is just what I've read from different lift kit manufacturers websites. Not saying it's gospel by any stretch. I do have some inner tire rubbing at full lock to the right. Thank you.

    Lift size for overlanding?

I'm running 33's right now. From what I've read 33's is max on a 4" lift without a body lift. 35" tires are max on a 6" lift without a body lift.
