What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I re-affirmed the value of checking over your rig before going to the bush. I was checking and topping up the oil (she's 20 years old, so she oozes a bit of oil) I noticed some liquid puddling on top of the transmission. A quick inspection confirmed it was coolant, and the culprit was a big...

    Has overlanding become elitist ?

Speaking as a 12 year LE veteran in Canada, we have several profoundly moronic or severely flawed laws and regs that I have to enforce on a daily basis. It's very frustrating, but the rule of law, the cherished legacy and cornerstone of western civilization, demands that I enforce the laws as...

    Has overlanding become elitist ?

Hmm and I would have thought New Mexico would be a free state.

Harrison to Pemberton FSR 11Aug2018 - Trail Scouting Report

Okay, I'm going tomorrow morning if anyone is interested. Shoot a PM or post on here and we'll setup a time to meet. Most likely 1000h at Sasquatch Inn, but perhaps a bit earlier. Hope someone can come along!

    Has overlanding become elitist ?

I haven't seen milk sold in bags in ages lol That was definitely a thing when I was a kid though. My folks had a milk-bag-jug and used to buy it that way.

    Has overlanding become elitist ?

Ugh, I wouldn't touch that swill lol No offense to anyone who likes it, but that stuff is near the bottom of the list of cheap, middle of the road beers. I'd rather drink Kokanee, Pilsner Old Style, or PBR if I'm looking for cheap stuff.

    Has overlanding become elitist ?

IPA's are somewhat oversold, I think. Most of them, in my opinion, are way over hopped (and hyped) and just taste like bitter crap. I may be biased since excessive hops make my digestive tract very angry. Conversely, a perfectly executed IPA, where the hops lead but don't overpower the rest of...

Harrison to Pemberton FSR 11Aug2018 - Trail Scouting Report

UPDATE: One of my kiddos seems to have a stomach bug, so no run for me today. I will re-evaluate for tomorrow possibly.

Harrison to Pemberton FSR 11Aug2018 - Trail Scouting Report

Hey, unfortunately it looks like I won't be able to make it tomorrow as we have two doctors appointments. I will keep trying to arrange for a babysitter, but it's not looking promising. Do you have CB radio or GMRS by chance? EDIT: Looks like you needn't worry! They put the bridge on already...

Hey, I'll see if I can zip up there tomorrow morning to meet you at bremner creek. It's definitely a good plan to have someone to spot and assist if needed.

    Anyone Name Their Overwatering Rig?

Any day above the water and not under it is a good one, right? :D Maybe some of the kayak experts on here have some tips to reduce the back pain?

    Anyone Name Their Overwatering Rig?

Some of my most memorable adventures have involved canoes and kayaks. I've learned to love boating from my uncle, who was a sea captain. What is it about boating that scares you?

    Anyone Name Their Overwatering Rig?

I've seen a few posts here about people who integrate water craft of some sort or other into their adventures. Has anyone here named their water rig as many have named their overlanding rig. Naturally most bigger boats have names, but what about little things like kyaks, canoes, tinnies, jon...
