    Cheaper substitute for Maxtraxx?

I use Go Treads, It's what the US military uses for big trucks in sand and have been around since the 90's. Lifetime warranty, made in the USA, great price. Fold up and I use them to level my truck for my roof top tent. Keep them in a Blue Ride Overland Gear bag, and have been great.

    Tacoma Suspension Question

I have a DCSB 2nd gen Tacoma with 33's and have about 2.5 inches of lift (could go higher but don't have the need). I went Fox 2.5's mid travel with DSC adjusters all 4 corners, to tune the ride to the weight change and road conditions. On back I have wheelers 3 leaf add a leaf and Firestone...

Tacomas, 4 Runners and Car Seats

I'd say the the tricky part will be early on, with a rear facing car seat. I have an 8 year old in my 2nd gen Tacoma with a booster seat and seems to be plenty of room (me and my wife aren't that tall). So a bulky rear facing seat seems like the biggest challenge. We had a large Britax seat...

Road Shower vs. Waterport vs. ?

I know this is an old thread, any chance there is a discount code still active? Yeah was hoping for the same thing, look like the old code doesn't work anymore.

    Cutting down road noise....

I have used Noico 80mil with pretty good success. Goes on easy, sticks really well. I did 4 doors and back cab wall of my Tacoma, with noticeable improvement. Plan on doing the entire floor as well, when I get the time.

What piece of gear made the biggest improvement to your experience?

RTT and our shower, I bought a cheap Home Depot sprayer, and put Duckworks handle and spray nozzle on it. But I don't have a Fridge yet. Dometic CFX50 is on my list.

    Campgrounds in California

Reviving an old Thread, but heading up toward Bay Area in next couple days, from AZ. Looking at Samuel P Taylor, any recommendations what camp site to pick for Tacoma with a RTT. Unless someone has a better place to camp. Looking for somewhere green within about and hour of San Francisco that...

The official OTO "Ozark Trail Overland" gear thread!

There is no built in access hole at the top of it, if you have enough hose you could run it in the main door and over to the shower side. Or I would probably just cut a flap into and use velcro to keep it shut. I use a hand pump weed sprayer painted black with a shower nozzle on it. Heat it up...

    Camp Stove

I've tried a Camp Chef Everest and a Coleman Classic, but my favorite is Stansport Outfitter 2 burner. Great low flame simmer control even in wind. Also I like the twist to ignite vs the push button igniter because the stove doesn't slide around while starting it.

    Tacoma Owners: Mountain Hatch

Never heard of that company, but a lot of Tacoma guys over at Tacomworld use Mobtown Offroad they make a metal one, that reinforces the tail gate. http://mobtownoffroad.com/product/tailgate-skin/ The plastic would benefit in making the tailgate lighter. Think you are paying more with Mountain...

The official OTO "Ozark Trail Overland" gear thread!

Hmm, I was looking at this one, not sure what the difference is other than price. Just noticed you're in Canada, was going to say that's a nice price either way. I have been looking at it for a few days, was waiting to see if it went on sale for Black Fri. No real reviews of it, but easy...
