I’m with you on not lifting to tall. I mistook your post implying you could stuff 37’s on a GM with 3 inches of lift alone.
Looks like the OP got it right with coil overs, UCA’s and a little diff drop to fit his 35’s. That’s the perfect setup for these trucks IMO.

305/65r18 (34x12) Falkens on a GM half ton with a 2.25 strut spacer front level/ lift.

I’m not sure what your wheels size will be but you could also consider a tire size in between those two.
33x12.5 typically run 32.5” diameter and 35x12.5 are usually a 34.5”.
I’m running 305/65r18 which measures out to 33.6 x 12
I’m sure you could find something comparable in a metric 17”...
