Glad everyone is physically OK. And so relieved that @armyRN and rest of the group were prepared and experienced to effect a recovery of a flipped-over vehicle. Sorry to see Group 1 fall apart, but such is life. Best to all involved.
First download the file to your phone while browsing this forum on your phone.
Then see this post on the previous page. Explains how to do it with Google Maps browser version; it might be somewhat similar to that with the Google Maps app on your phone as well.
This is how you do it in the browser version of Google Maps
Go to Google Maps (Login to your Google account if you haven't already)
Click on the 3-line menu icon on the left side (aka hamburger icon)
Click on Your Places
Click on Maps (right most tab on the drop down menu)
Click on CREATE MAP...
I will be living vicariously through your trip. Please post updates and pics about your experiences regularly.
Good luck, God speed and safe travels to all the participants!
Awesome, thanks for the info. Yes, bare bones it does look like one of the army surplus trailers that used to come with Jeeps. Nice to see it towed by an SK Forester.
I have an SK myself; planning to slowly build an overlanding rig out of it. Still in the dreaming and planning part of it all.
@Costa looks like an awesome rig and trip. Glad you escaped the dinos!
Do you have some info on the trailer? Is it DIY -- do you have build thread for it? Thanks.
Would a Jackery or Bluetti (they're available from many brands) Lithium battery-based power station fit your needs? Not the cheapest option, but might be the most flexible, and especially well suited for your 1 or 2 day requirement.
Many thanks to @Xplorr313 for the hard work required to put together this amazing resource. I got a chance to do a small portion of it today in my stock 2020 Subaru Forester. Had fun at Reed Rd (Poor Man's Safari).
Is there a way to send a contribution?
@Rum&Tacos Did you see this post: The OFFICIAL Trans NJ Trail Thread (the very first post in this thread)? I just checked, and the attachment is still there.
Nice build journal, @nc_forester, especially the pics!
Have a question about the Sparco Terra wheels. I have been looking for a 17" set for my 2020 Forester, but couldn't find any information about how much they weigh -- do you know? Why did you swap them out for the KMCs? Never mind, I read...
