    Nissan NV2500 Conversion

Well, quite a lot has happened in the last six months, not so much with the van unfortunately. I did get the flare panels installed, as well as a new head unit, speakers, and cameras front and rear, but had to take a break after that for some unplanned home renovations. I did at least spend...

    Nissan NV2500 Conversion

A smaller update than I was hoping for, but still progress. Got a few little things like the license plate light on the bumper done, but the main thing is windows! Who wants a bedroom with no windows? Certainly not me. I took a short trip up to Bend to have these professionally installed, as the...

    Nissan NV2500 Conversion

about the same as before. Advanced put a 3" lift in, which isn't really noticeable on something this tall already. There's a bit more wind noise from the rack, but that's all I've noticed. I haven't really had a chance to put the 4WD through its paces other than some snow and ice on the way back...

    Nissan NV2500 Conversion

After some months the offroad stage of the offroad campervan build is (mostly) complete. While the van was down in Salt Lake City it had the Advanced 4x4 conversion installed, and took a short trip across town to get some exterior parts from Avatar Metalworks. After a few years of camping out of smaller rigs I decided recently to move up a few weight classes and get a van. A couple weeks ago I found this lovely 2018 NV2500. It's in full cargo van trim, with the 5.6L V8 and the transmission cooler, and only 33k miles. The interior has some shelves and...

What is the Quintessential Camp Food?

Gotta be chili for me. Whether you heat up a can or spend hours slow-cooking it from scratch in a dutch oven, there's nothing like a hot bowl of chili by the fire at the end of the day.

    Canada 2021 Boarder Crossing

Hopefully by summer the border will be somewhat back to normal. Likely tests wont be required if you've got the vaccine, but who knows at this point. You can see what the rules are now here.

US Northwest I want to do the TAT (Trans American Trail) in 2021

I'm also hoping to do the TAT in 2021, but who knows at this point if I'll be able to get the time off.

Need off line, stand alone, PC based mapping software. Anyone doing this?

You could try google earth I guess. I'm not sure how well it works for editing files but I know it does that at least.

    Hello from Eugene

Now that I'm stuck inside for a while I felt like I might as well make some new friends online. I'm in Eugene for school and down in Grants Pass the rest of the time. Looking forward to finding new people to get out there with. Ordered a membership but haven't gotten the number yet, @mtnbaja on IG.
