I'm a retired Multi-branch Veteran with a communications background. While my boots have been all over the world, my overlanding experiences have yet to leave the driveway. I figured this would be one of the best places to resolve this issue and learn from everyone about cool places to check out.

I'm still in the beginning phase and still researching a ton of options. So currently I have my daily driver 2014 jk with a 3" fox suspension and 35" tires. If there's anyone in the Raleigh area who knows of a good shop to get work done, I'm listening.

I'm debating "the great gear ratio" upgrade at this point. Currently have stock axels. Pondering the move to 5:13 or 5:35. Which may have the better fuel savings?
Next is the Power Stop Z36 brake upgrade. If anyone has these I'm interested in your thoughts on them. The Tera Flex Big Brake system looks great too, but I'm on a budget.. so.. yeah.. there's that aspect too.

So hopefully this helps you know some more about me. Overall, I'm pretty laid back, simple guy working on getting back out to nature on my terms (opposed to the military's) and make some new camping adventures.

Thanks for taking the time to read all this and any input you may send.
