Well, if you are not hitting hard stuff I would say either BFG all terrain or the Pro Comp all terrain which comes with a 50k mile warranty. If you want a mud tire, then again, Pro Comp with their 40k mile warranty.

I use a ground tent with a cot. If the wife goes then it is a ground tent with an expandable queen size air mattress frame with an air mattress on it. She likes her comfort.

What type of trails are you looking at on the weekends? Just dirt roads and camping or something that you are going to need tires and maybe a small lift for?
With my yota I bought angle iron and flat steel and cut them to shape and welded over the holes/cracks. It held up for several more years until I sold it to a friend and he did a couple of more patches and drove it another two years.
