First snowstorm - Got to test the Falken AT3W in snow......

I edited my post above, both the 3W and 4W have full depth sipes.

First snowstorm - Got to test the Falken AT3W in snow......

The new Wildpeak A/T4w should address that, they will have full-depth sipes compared to the A/T3w which don't. EDIT: The A/T3w do have full-depth sipes as well, the way I read some reviews implied this was a new feature.

Apparently the size chart was incomplete when I looked at it, Falken has added more sizes for the A/T4w, including a non-LRE 265/70R17.

Ooo, nice! Going to be a hard choice when it comes time for new tires, one bummer is that they're not offering a 265/70R17 in anything but an LR E tire, which I don't want to run on my mid-size truck. Closest is a 265/65R17.

    Satellite Communicator--Which is Best Deal?

I would say Starlink is a great tool to augment the more specific services/devices but it's by no means a replacement for a dedicated device and service because it's not self-contained, has to be deployed in order to use (unless you have an in-motion or permanent install) and it's very sensitive...

Thinking of moving near Spokane (eventually)...read on...

I personally find Bend/Sisters the most attractive area to move to, but my wife doesn't want deserty landscape and rocky ground again. We also looked at the area around Sandy and if not for the weather it would probably be one place we could agree on. To me, Sisters is more of a well-rounded...

Thinking of moving near Spokane (eventually)...read on...

Not yet, any move is still at least 2-3 years out right now. Also, we've decided that Oregon is more than likely where we'll move to as we spent a couple of weeks there this past fall exploring areas and visiting family. Wife wants to be closer to family that's in Oregon, I have family in WA...

    Satellite Communicator--Which is Best Deal?

No worries, I couldn't remember what the limits were so figured I might as well share the official info as a reference. Wasn't meaning for it to come across as RTFM-ish. :D

    Satellite Communicator--Which is Best Deal?

I looked into the Defy but it was a hard pass (I have the Zoleo and wife has an inReach so wasn't serious anyway, but always curious about new products), aside from SOS and pre-programmed check-in messages you can only communicate with other Bullitt Messenger users, there is no 2-way...

RC Toys / Drones / Crawlers

Man, this thread needs some new life! Well, I just finished building a TRX4 and this thing is a beast! My first crawler was an OG SCX10 that I built 10+ years ago (I forget exactly, it's been a while) and after moving to Illinois 8+ years ago it fell by the wayside as there weren't many good...
