I use CLP to clean with (Clean lube protect) and use axle grease on anything that moves. I don’t clean mine that often, so the axle grease will keep things lubed up for longer. The gun oil I’ve found drys up a lot quicker. So ill use a drop on a trigger but its mainly grease. Its weather proof...

They make steel cased ammo. Alot of surplus ammo is steel cased and it sucks.

Steel ammo might be cheap but steel on steel of a chamber of a firearm is sooo bad! You get pretty good at clearing malfunctions. I dont stock pile ammo but always have 2 k around for each for pistol and rifle. But ammo does go bad from my experience so i tend to change it out quite a bit...
