Where did you find the seat skins? Mine are shoot and I have been looking into repairs, seat replacement, etc. New skins never occurred to me, but is a brilliant solution.

I got my 100 series for next to nothing because it wouldn't start... turned out the issue was not enough power getting to the ECU, therefore the anti-theft wasn't letting the fuel and ignition systems work. We bypassed the fuse block and it fired up (only took five months of occasional tinkering...
My 2000 LX 470 gets 14-15 on a combination of hilly back roads and highways. Just pulled a trailer 1300 miles, got about 8 mpg with the trailer empty doing 78 mph, added 1000 lbs and drove 70 mph and got 12 mpg. Weight of load seems to make little impact on economy, but speed and aerodynamics...
I love fly fishing, but, like most things other than work, I don't get to do it nearly as much as I would like. I appreciate how the sport forces you to slow down and find a different rhythm than what gets you through most of life.

I'm am meaning to ask this question in a very broad sense...
Answer any sub question that interests you or make up your own:
Why do you overland? Is it the primary goal? Simply a means to get to other activities? Or part of a bigger picture?
Do you participate in any companion activities...
Recently bought my lx470... so far have been focusing on parts to get it back in good condition: tires, accumulators and axle to start with. Seat repair, seat covers and floor mats are on the short list, followed by parts to build a gear/camping trailer.
