Overland Bound

Ambassadors

Meet the team

The Overland Bound Ambassador Team knows firsthand how adventure changes lives. An Overland Bound Ambassador will be the first to help out in any situation on a trail, always leaves it better than they found it, and shares information freely to help others safely travel down dirt roads and explore paths unknown.

Blake and Chelsea Boyce

National Rally Point Coordinator & Overland Bound One Trainer

Blake, Chelsea, and the basset hounds Charlie and Blue live life on the road in their fully outfitted Jeep TJ. Prior to this adventure they were bartenders in Las Vegas. Now they are on an overland expedition across the United States.

They thrive on the road less traveled and go out of their way to immerse themselves in the local culture, history and geography.

The Boyce crew is quick to share gear recommendations, planning tips, suggestions for traveling with dogs, and all things overland travel.

Deb Lee & Mike Lee

US Ambassadors & Overland Bound One Trainer

Mike and Deb Lee are retired and living full time on trails and roads in their 2015 4Runner and Patriot Camper. Their overland travels have taken them to the shores of the Arctic Ocean to the warm waters of Baja with several crossings of the United States inbetween.

They have logged many 1000s of miles off-road in their 3 years of full time travel, and have been heavily involved in Overland Bound Trail Guardian projects, including our ongoing work with the Mojave National Preserve. Mike, Deb and their 4 legged partner in crime Gunner are quick to make friends wherever they go and are happy to share advice from their experiences on the road!

David Spinks

International Ambassador & Overland Bound One Trainer

Dave traveled extensively throughout his working life in the Royal Navy as a Weapons Engineer and Ships Diver.

His main inspiration for an overland trip came in 2006 whilst flying by helicopter over the Skeleton Coast of Namibia to work on an offshore drillship. The idea sprouted that he wanted to come back to Namibia and drive the coast and beyond. It was at this point he caught the overlanding bug.

The dream of driving Namibia and the Skeleton Coast was realized in 2016 and resulted in a significant rethinking about what was important in life. Dave created Polaris Overland to capture and share his extended overland trips through Europe, Scandinavia, North Africa, Asia and Mongolia.
