General Information:
Trail rating is easy; there are bypasses for all obstacles.
Comms; Primary - Ham 146.460 simpex, Secondary - GMRS Ch 15 simpex, Third - CB ch 16, Cell service is unreliable but available sporadically.
You need to be self-sufficient for three days on the trail. There are NO services on the Mojave Trail. Bring spare fuel, water, food, and clothing for all types of weather. Please bring heavy duty garbage bags and gloves for the trail cleanup. Everyone should bring at least one bundle of firewood for the group campfire. Approximate distance we will travel is +/- 130 miles.
There are no bathroom facilities on the Mojave Road - you are REQUIRED to use some form of portable toilet in the preserve. (Examples; Thunderbox, Cleanwaste, etc. It is not permitted to bury your waste).
Fuel up prior to coming to base camp! Fuel is available in Needles, Fort Mohave AZ or at Avi Casino. At the end of the trip fuel is available 27 miles to the west on Hwy 15 and 29 miles to the NE in Baker on Hwy 15.

1300-1400 hrs arrive at Afton Canyon Campground, at this location you can camp and leave the next morning or start home.
