  1. No burn areas on the trail, but you have views of the burn. Driving on the highway between Lake Hemet and Mountain  Center takes you through the burn, and from Mountain Center to Idyllwild is through the burn too.

A stock truck will be fine,as would a Subaru or something similar. It’s an easy trail, but there are some great views, so it’s definitely worth the trip.

  2. Hello Everyone…see you in the am. We will be meeting at 9am at the 74 and Ramona Expressway in Hemet at the Stater Bros Parking Lot.

Brent will be our guide for this run. Plan for half day run or so.

  7. Quick question. Is there a pre run rig check for required items. Such as first aid kit fire extinguisher. Stuff like that. That I might have to go buy?

No checklist, but, a fire extinguisher and first aid kit are things everyone should carry.

Sounds good. I live on the mesa, so I'm right next to Honda Valley. I should be there tomorrow, barring sick children, etc.

  11. If anyone lives by Bee Canyon, you might want to run by and see if it's open (does it have a gate?) I saw  a bunch of trails in the San Bernardino NF that had the gates closed.

Brent, you will need to check out the trail next week; it is supposed to rain this weekend and it may get muddy up there. If we need to change trails, let us know.

  12. I haven’t been able to check out the trail, since I’m in the middle of rebuilding my front axle, but that should be done today, and I can pre run the trail tomorrow. They don’t close Bee Canyon unless the road washes out, so it shouldn’t be a problem, but it will be good and muddy, and possibly snowy at the top!

  14. Hello Everyone, Dominic checking in.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make the run this weekend. Our wrestling league moved League finals to this weekend due to a scheduling issue.

Yet, the run is still on for this months meetup is Jan. 19, 2019 – Bee Canyon, Day Run, 4 to 6 hrs., / Leader: – Brent

Have a wonderful, safe and fun day…wish I could be there…share your pictures.

  15. I just spoke with Brent…he is pre running the trail as we speak. He says it should be a pretty fun day…the water crossing is  (1.5 ft), a little muddy in spots and couple of rough spots….yet again doable.  He also saying a lot of deer.

  16. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone for the run tomorrow, it’s going to be fun. The trail is muddy and rough, with a couple of rocky sections. The water crossing is about a foot and a half deep, and there is a big puddle near the yellow post sites that’s about a foot deep. Shouldn’t be a problem though.  We’ll leave the meeting place for the trail just after 9:00am and should be to the top by lunch time. There are plenty of places to eat in Idyllwild. I’ll be at the meeting place around 8:00, look for the old Toyota. See y’all tomorrow!

  18. Nicole and I had a terrific time meeting everyone thank you so much and can’t wait to be doing more trails with everyone! I did a few rig photos so I hope you enjoy them! I will try to get some more for sure next time
